Technology & privacy
Privacy isn't a promise. It's how the device is built.
Most smart cameras send video to the cloud for analysis. HushSight does the opposite: the "seeing" happens inside your home.
Where do your images go?
Inside your home
Push notifications still travel over the internet and your phone maker's push service, so we say it plainly: only event notifications are sent, no video or photos.
What leaves your home?
Stays in your home
Video, images, saved clips, face data, privacy masks, detailed logs
Leaves your home
Event notification: alert type, time, room name
If you turn on Zalo or Telegram integration, that text notification also passes through those services.
Everything happens on the box
Analysed on the spot
Detection models run on the box itself, so no images need to be sent out to be analysed.
- Coming soon
Encrypted local storage
Clips stay on the box at home, encrypted, viewable only from your household's app.
- Coming soon
Masked on the device
Bedrooms and bathrooms are masked before anything is processed or stored.
Recognising your household, respectfully
A face is biometric data, and very sensitive. So if you turn this feature on, we design it around three principles.
1. Stored only on the device
Face data lives on the box in your home, not in the cloud.
2. Only with that person's consent
Each person must clearly agree. For children, a parent or guardian must agree.
3. Delete it any time
Remove one person or switch face recognition off entirely in the app.
These are design principles for a feature under development. Before going on sale we will have counsel review it against current personal-data-protection rules.
Illustrative interface
Keeps watching when the internet drops
Detection runs on the box, so it's designed to keep going during an outage. To get notifications on your phone, you need a connection.
You are in control
- Delete face data and clips any time.
- Choose who in the household can see what.
- Mask private areas on the device itself.
We're honest about what we don't know yet
We haven't published accuracy figures because we don't have reliable measurements yet. No detection is perfect. Some features are still in development and marked "Coming soon". When we have measurements, we'll publish them along with how they were taken.
Vietnam's Personal Data Protection Law took effect on 1 January 2026 and treats biometric data as sensitive. We design in that spirit, but we make no compliance claim until legal review is complete.
